MBA (part time) Executive<br />

Attendance and Duration<br />

Teaching Location: <strong>London</strong> City campus, Moorgate, and <strong>London</strong> North campus, Stapleton House.<br />

Courses commence in September and February on both campuses. Teaching takes place on<br />

Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm.<br />

Aims <strong>of</strong> the course<br />

The executive-style MBA is the premier qualification for individuals wishing to progress to<br />

strategic level in their organisation. It provides a rigorous grounding in the knowledge, skills and<br />

understanding necessary for participants to operate effectively as strategic general managers in<br />

a variety <strong>of</strong> business environments.<br />

Our course <strong>of</strong>fers:<br />

● A comprehensive understanding <strong>of</strong> the functional aspects <strong>of</strong> business<br />

● A thorough integration <strong>of</strong> theory and practice<br />

● Effective development <strong>of</strong> personal, pr<strong>of</strong>essional and managerial skills<br />

● Advanced understanding <strong>of</strong> current models <strong>of</strong> strategic analysis<br />

As well as being <strong>of</strong>fered on both campuses in <strong>London</strong>, the MBA (part-time) Executive<br />

programme is also <strong>of</strong>fered in Moscow and Athens. In joining this programme you will be part <strong>of</strong><br />

a wide and exciting cohort <strong>of</strong> international students.<br />

Key features <strong>of</strong> the course are the <strong>Master</strong>s conference, held over a weekend at the start <strong>of</strong> the<br />

course, and a week-long international study visit to a major European city in Stage Two.<br />

Assessment<br />

Each unit is assessed by either course work or an examination, or a combination <strong>of</strong> both.<br />

You are also required to undertake a dissertation. This provides you with the opportunity to<br />

demonstrate your ability to investigate changing business environments, apply and integrate<br />

management theory and practice, think strategically and present recommendations for the<br />

future <strong>of</strong> your organisation or industry. The dissertation is a written report <strong>of</strong> between 15,000<br />

to 20,000 words and is undertaken with the guidance and support <strong>of</strong> your academic tutor<br />

over a period <strong>of</strong> four to six months.<br />

Entry requirements<br />

Our standard entry requirements are:<br />

● a bachelors degree with minimum 2:1 or equivalent<br />

● at least three years full-time management experience after graduation<br />

● good spoken and written English (IELTS 6.5 minimum or equivalent)<br />

Those with good grades in a DMS can usually join year two <strong>of</strong> the course directly. Applicants<br />

with a pr<strong>of</strong>essional qualification such as the ACCA can normally be granted exemption from<br />

modules which they have studied as part <strong>of</strong> their qualification.<br />

You may be required to attend an informal interview.<br />

Tuition fees<br />

Tuition fees for 2004/5 are:<br />

Part-time (EU) (fees for first year based on completing in 2 years): £4,770<br />

Part-time (non-EU): £5,110<br />
