NEW WORLD RECORD?
Livestrong.com issues challenge to beat the planking world record
at the Rose Bowl Aug 4
The Rose Bowl will be the site of an attempt to set a new
world record in planking on Saturday, Aug. 4.
The contest, part of the two-day Stronger Weekend event
sponsored by the health and fitness website Livestrong.com,
Planking is an isometric core strength exercise that
involves maintaining a position similar to a push-up for the
maximum possible time. This event will be led by author and
celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels.
Livestrong.com, celebrating its 10th year, will also feature a series of leadership panels,
trend-setting workouts and inspiring keynote speeches from some of the biggest names in
wellness, including Michaels, Cassey Ho, Anna Victoria, Kelly LeVeque and Koya Webb.
The Stronger Weekend Plank Challenge takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the
Rose Bowl Stadium, 1001 Rose Bowl Drive, Pasadena. Tickets are $35 to $150. Visit
