CLUB CAPTAIN’S REPORT
Since our last meeting, our Sunday run was a local navigation run to allow members who had attended
the club night to practice their skills.
Leon had set a challenging course suitable for testing what would be required to take part in rallies set by
other branches. Everyone made at least one mistake! Some enjoyed the challenge while others felt it was
too difficult and therefore not enjoyable. We always learn something !
Our Winter Woollies Wander had good weather and feed back was very positive about the route. We did
make one error but only the “experts” went wrong there. One of our members did head for Whangerei!
Leon and Brendda Salt were the best of our branch. We look forward to next year.
Our next midweek café is on August 1 st at the Puhoi Café and Cheese Store.
Our next club night is Prize Giving. Usual format, but a group of us have proposed and set up a Take-away
Roast $13.00 all one size, choice of 3 meats. Please see the advertisement in this Newsletter. If you have
dietary constraints or just prefer to BYO, please feel free to do so and don't let this put you off attending
the meeting.
Daffodil Rally looms ever nearer. Those who are considering volunteering or joining in, please let me
know. All the information was in your last newsletter. It would be very encouraging to the committee to
see people who are not always active. It is for a good cause.
