Wel, bu'n flwyddyn brysur a chawsom
ddigwyddiadau codi arian gwych.
Cafwyd 3 “Sinema Pencae”, y Ffair Nadolig, 1 disgo
Santes Dwynwen, un noson ‘Neal's Yard’,
arwerthiant popsrhew, y Ffair Haf a stondin luniaeth
yn Sioe CA2, ‘Shrec'.
Cawsom hefyd ambell ddigwyddiad cymdeithasol, sef
cyngerdd James Dean Bradfield, a
fu'n llwyddiant ysgubol a’r noson
sgitls, a fu’n llawer o hwyl a dylid ei
hystyried yn ddigwyddiad blynyddol.
Codwyd £6,909 y flwyddyn hon
Defnyddiwyd peth o'r arian hwn i
brynu'r gegin fwd i CA1, llyfrau
newydd ar gyfer pob dosbarth a
'Radio Pencae'. Ceir manylion
pellach am sut y cafodd yr arian ei
wario isod.
Hoffwn gymryd y cyfle hwn i ddiolch i’r holl
gynrychiolwyr dosbarth am eu gwaith caled dros y
flwyddyn ddiwethaf ynghyd â gweddill y ti^m, gyda
phob un yn cyfrannu’n werthfawr at y broses o redeg
y GRhA.
Wrth gwrs, ni fyddai hyn yn bosibl heb gefnogaeth y
staff, teuluoedd a chyfeillion Pencae sy'n cefnogi’r
digwyddiadau hyn. Felly, diolch yn FAWR i chi.
Ac yn awr mae'n bryd cael seibiant haeddiannol.
Mwynhewch yr haf, ac edrychaf ymlaen at eich
gweld i gyd yn nigwyddiadau'r flwyddyn nesaf."
Julie Kahar, Cadeirydd
A word from the Chair
"Hi Everyone,
Well, it has been an eventful year and we have had
some great fundraising events.
There have been 3 ‘Sinema Pencae’ events, the
Christmas Fair, 1 ‘Santes Dwynwen’ disco, a Neal’s
Yard fundraiser, a freezepop sale, the Summer Fair
and a tuck shop at the KS2 Show, ‘Shrek’.
We’ve also had a couple of social events, the James
Dean Bradfield concert, which was a
huge success and a skittles night,
which was a lot of fun and should be
considered for an annual event.
Overall, we raised £6,909 this year.
Some of this money has been used to
purchase the mud kitchen for KS1,
new books for each class and ‘Radio
Pencae’. A full breakdown of how
funds have been spent is available
below.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the
class reps for their hard work over the past year
along with the rest of the team, who each make a
valuable contribution to the running of the PTA.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the
support of school staff and Pencae families and
friends who turn up and support these events; so, a
BIG thankyou to you too.
And now it’s time for a well-earned break. Enjoy the
summer everyone, I look forward to seeing you all at
next year’s events.”
Oeddech chi'n gwybod bod y GRhA
bellach yn sefydliad corfforedig
elusennol?
Ar ôl cofrestru’r GRhA yn sefydliad corfforedig
elusennol ym mis Rhagfyr 2017, trosglwyddodd y
GRhA ei holl asedau o’r gymdeithas anghorfforedig,
sef y cyfrwng elusennol a ddefnyddiwyd ar gyfer y
GRhA o’r blaen. Ein rhif SEC a’n rhif elusen
gofrestredig yw 1175972. Mae'r strwythur newydd
yn amddiffyn unigolion ac ymddiriedolwyr
gwirfoddol sy’n gweithio'n galed yn ystod eu hamser
hamdden i godi arian gwerthfawr i'r ysgol. Yr
ymddiriedolwyr presennol yw'r Pennaeth, Mr
Thomas, y Cadeirydd Julie Kahar, y Trysorydd Bob
Jones, yr Ysgrifennydd Rhian Williams a Paul Stokes.
Did you know that our PTA is now
a charitable incorporated
association?
Following the registration of a Charitable
Incorporated Organisation for the PTA, in December
2017, the PTA transferred all its assets from the
unincorporated association, the charity vehicle
which was previously used for the PTA and has been
operating in its new guise. Our CIO and registered
charity number is 1175972. The new structure
provides protection to the individual and volunteer
trustees who work hard in their own time to raise
valuable funds for the school. The current trustees
are the Headteacher, Mr Thomas, the Chair Julie
Kahar, Treasurer Bob Jones, Secretary Rhian Williams
and Paul Stokes.
...Gwener Di-Blastig
A yw ymgyrch yr ysgol, sef dydd
Gwener Di-Blastig wedi dylanwadu ar eich arferion
chi? Dyma rai sylwadau ac argymhellion gan rieni.
"Rydym ond yn defnyddio gwellt aml-dro neu wellt
papur erbyn hyn ac mae fy merch yn mynd â’r rhain
i’r sinema er mwyn gallu gwrthod yr opsiwn plastig”
Sophia Mico
“Rwyf wedi dechrau prynu brwsys dannedd bambw^
ar ôl meddwl am y mynydd brwsh dannedd mae ein
teulu ni yn unig yn ei greu. Rwyf hefyd yn ceisio
prynu bwyd heb ei lapio mewn plastig (anodd!)”
Sue Bland
“Rydym bellach yn cael
ein llaeth mewn poteli
gwydr.
Gwenno Jones
“Rwyf wedi rhoi’r gorau i
ddenfyddio ‘cling film’ yn
y pecyn bwyd”
Esther Roberts
“Rydym wedi newid yn ôl i
gael cinio ysgol y tymor
hwn! Credaf fod hyn
efallai’n fwy eco-gyfeillgar”
Joanna Broaders
“Mae’n llawer haws dweud ‘na’ wrth y plant pan
fyddwn allan ac y byddant yn gofyn am gael prynu
carton/potel o ddiod neu greision a losin gan ei fod
mewn pecyn plastig – felly bonws annisgwyl!”
Sioned Lewis
“Rwyf bellach yn prynu powdwr golchi mewn bocs
cardfwrdd yn lle hylif mewn potel ac rwy’n defnyddio
bariau sebon”
Emma Griffiths
“Rwy’n fwy ymwybodol fy mod i’n prynu eitemau
plastig er hwylustod. Felly, er mwyn paratoi ar gyfer
‘Gwener Di-Blastig’ rwyf wedi bod yn prynu eitemau
mwy mewn bocsys. Gallaf eu cadw mewn bocsys ac
yna’n dosrannu a’u rhoi ym mocs bwyd y plant fel y
bo angen”
Jen George
“Rwyf wedi rhoi’r gorau i brynu ‘cling film’ i
orchuddio bwyd yn yr oergell ac yn defnyddio bocsys
y gellir eu hailddefnyddio”
Sioned Hughes
Spotlight on…
…Plastic Free Friday
Has the school’s Plastic Free Friday
influenced your behaviour at home? Here are a few
observations and recommendations from parents.
“We have reusable or paper straws exclusively now.
And my daughter takes these with her to the cinema
in order to refuse the plastic option”
Sophia Mico
“I’ve started buying bamboo toothbrushes as a result
of thinking of the toothbrush mountain our family
alone have created. Also am trying to buy groceries
that aren’t pre-wrapped in plastic (difficult!).”
Sue Bland
“We now get our milk in
glass bottles”
Gwenno Jones
“I’ve stopped using cling
film in packed lunches.”
Esther Roberts
”We’ve switched back to
school dinners this
term…! I feel it’s probably
more eco-friendly”
Joanna Broaders
”An unexpected bonus is that it’s far easier to say no
to buying soft drink cartons/bottles or sweets and
crisps for the children when we’re out and about,
because they’re in plastic packaging!”
Sioned Lewis
”I now buy washing powder in cardboard boxes
instead of liquid in bottles and am using bars of
soap”
Emma Griffiths
”I’m more aware that I’m buying plasticky stuff for
convenience. So to prepare for the ‘Plastic Free
Fridays’ I have been buying larger items in boxes
which I can keep in containers and therefore portion
and use in the children’s ‘bocs bwyd’”
Jen George
”I’ve stopped using cling film to cover food in the
fridge and use resusable boxes”
Sioned Hughes
“Roeddwn yn arfer rhoi pob gwastraff plastig yn y
bag ailgylchu, ond rwyf bellach yn gwneud ymdrech i
chwilio am y logo ailgylchu ar y gwastraff cyn ei
waredu i’r bin cywir”
Rhian Williams
”It has made me consider more carefully the plastic
waste I bin. Previously all plastic waste was thrown
in the green bag. Now I make a conscious effort to
look for the recycling icon on the packaging”
Rhian Williams
