through Intergenerational<br />
Learning Centre.<br />
It is a research study project<br />
titled “Impact of school-based<br />
Intergenerational learning on<br />
schoolchildren, their parents<br />
and active ageing for native<br />
Uttar Pradesh” by Dr Prasun<br />
Chatterjee from Department of<br />
Geriatric Medicine, AIIMS with<br />
Ethical approval from AIIMS<br />
Ethics Committee. Philosophy<br />
of Intergenerational learning<br />
centre is based on cognitive<br />
development approach, offering<br />
individualised care and<br />
protection in educationally<br />
friendly interactive<br />
environment.<br />
We are in the process of<br />
designing intergenerational<br />
activities to nurture<br />
psychological, social, emotional<br />
positivewell-being in both the<br />
generations and will evolve<br />
practices of holistic<br />
development to meet<br />
Intellectual and Eco-cultural<br />
need on which a sound<br />
replicable educational models<br />
of <strong>IGLC</strong> stand and flourish.<br />

Intergenerational learning<br />
centre (ILC) is meant for<br />
aspirant students from<br />
disadvantageous sections of<br />
the society, which would be<br />
mentored by the senior<br />
citizens of the same locality<br />
to transfer knowledge,<br />
wisdom and sharing<br />
unconditional love & joy in<br />
appreciative, receptive and<br />
expressive atmosphere. We<br />
believe in respecting the<br />
uniqueness and recognizing<br />
the potential of every child<br />
to express freely and be as<br />
kids want to be.
