We have received a donation £170.10 from the Tweeddale Petanque Club which<br />
will be the first money to be lodged in the Outreach bank account.<br />
With those grants and donation the Meet and Make Club will be funded for at least<br />
one year and can now get underway.<br />
Applications were still in the pipeline with Awards for All and the Robertson Trust,<br />
subject to clarifying some details. Discussions with the Robertson Trust were<br />
ongoing. If either or both of those come up with an offer, this will allow the classes<br />
to be held weekly rather than fortnightly at present.<br />
Fabric: Church Bells maintenance service & recommendation - agreed to annual<br />
service and renew deteriorating cables.<br />
Church Audio system, projector failure- submitted for information, investigation<br />
ongoing.<br />
Church heating system, update on newly installed controller submitted for<br />
information.<br />
Song School slated roof repair- recommended lowest quotation- approved.<br />
Church and Manse slated roof annual maintenance- recommended lowest<br />
quotation-approved<br />
Church Hall Male toilet urinals, upgrade- recommended quotation received,<br />
submitted for action.<br />
Church Hall heating system, filter to Central heating installed 20th May 2018.<br />
Proposed Church noticeboard, Advertisement application, Requested Listed Building<br />
Consent application submitted, await Planning conclusion.<br />
Feral Pigeons -Environmental Pest Control company confirmed they will install bird<br />
deterrents previously agreed, in early July 2018.<br />
Fire Risk Assessment- Document submitted is under review by Fabric Committee,<br />
when complete a copy and report will be issued to the Kirk Session with our<br />
comments.<br />
Peebles Churches Together – Tweed Togs is a voluntary organisation supplying<br />
clothes to people in need for 0 – 12 year olds. There are collection points around<br />
Peebles – flyer on the notice board has details.<br />
Praying Together – TOPCOP hosted the session on 30 th May when it was decided to<br />
make it a Pilgrimage around the Church. Those attending found it thought<br />
provoking and good feedback has been received.<br />
Christian Aid – amount collected was up on last year<br />
Jim Benton-Evans, the Minister at St Peters has now moved to Glasgow and St<br />
Joseph’s now has a new permanent priest.<br />
Chattabox which is run 6 th – 11 th August for children is needing helpers. Anyone<br />
interested please contact Janette Cameron.<br />
Session is grateful to Janette as she will continue to be our rep on PCT<br />
Ruby Buchan has now tendered her resignation from the Magazine and we hope to<br />
finds someone to take over this role.
