How on-grid and battery backup systems<br />

work and the financial incentives<br />

available for you – This<br />

workshop will cover what solar<br />

energy systems are: the different<br />

types of equipment being<br />

used today; options for how<br />

they are installed; the differences<br />

between on-grid, off-grid<br />

and battery backup systems:<br />

the amount of electricity they<br />

can produce and store; federal and state<br />

Growing vegetables in your own landscape<br />

can be both rewarding and challenging.<br />

With limited space available to most home<br />

sites, many gardeners<br />

shy away from<br />

vegetable production.<br />

ways of growing<br />

those vegetables<br />

you like in very<br />

limited spaces. In<br />

this workshop you will learn how to grow<br />

vegetables in small spaces as well as what<br />

works well in those limited areas. A brief<br />

discussion on the Clemson Extension Master<br />

Gardener program will<br />

also be presented as<br />

a resource to educate<br />

you on growing conditions<br />

in South Carolina.<br />

most importantly your<br />

needs. We will also look<br />

at fuel sources for standby<br />

units and what local code requirements<br />

are for generators and fuel sources.<br />
