“I am proud to be the Principal at The Lancaster Academy. We are part of the
‘Learning without Limits’ Academy Trust whose aim is to enable students to
‘grow, thrive and be visible’ in all aspects of personal and academic development.
This a very exciting time to be joining us as we are making rapid progress on our
journey of improvement. Welcoming girls through our doors for the first time
ever, makes this a very important point in the history of Lancaster. Through drive

A Wildlife & History Walk of Swithland

containing some of the best remaining examples
of oak wood in Charnwood Forest.
With rich and varied flora and fauna and
also home to a diverse butterfly, moth and
bird population. Learn about the historic
Swithland slate quarries and how the Wood
is managed today.
