Indian food is known for its
bold and multi-layered flavors,
textures, and aromas, but how
can you recreate that culinary
experience in your own home?
Cooking instructor, Sandhya Jain,
will lead the group on a fascinating
culinary excursion. Sandhya
will show and pass around various
spices, describe their use in
India cooking, and discuss their
health benefits. Sample bags of
essential Indian spices will be
handed out, and Sandhya will
have exotic harder-to-find spices

to be veteran knitters, will
lead a workshop about how to
knit, from casting on to casting
off. The class will work together
on the same project, and all materials
will be provided in a kit for
$5. After you've taken the Learn
to Knit Class, you can finish in
the Stitch Therapy session! Space

VFW Meat Raffle
Norwood VFW, Post 2452,

1-4 p.m.
The price for each drawing is
only $2 and 10 drawings are conducted
each Saturday. A prebuy
for $20 is available during the
week at the Post and allows for
entrance in all 10 drawings. The
winners of the pre-buys need not
be present to win. The prizes include
sirloin steak tips, sausage,
ground sirloin burgers, center
cut pork chops, whole or cut
chicken, ground sirloin burgers,
chicken wings, and much more.
The drawings also include 50/50
money raffles. The Meat Raffle is
open to the public.
