Our Greater San Antonio area is large in scale, but
through our YMCA we provide the opportunity for
all of us to become a more connected community.
Our commitment to this community is to serve all by
bridging gaps, eliminating barriers thus expanding
individual and families access to healthy living
services.
The Y is a place where anyone and everyone can
find respite from social, physical, economic or
educational challenges, and overcome them.
In 2017, we expanded our commitment to the
community, not just through facility walls, but
within areas that lacked resources. The Y provided
the resources for seniors to maintain their physical
and mental activity, for parents looking for a safe
place for their child, and for teens struggling to find
themselves.
With the help of multiple community partners,
we expanded our reach on drowning prevention
education, further addressed the achievement gap
to help youth realize their full potential, and created
access points for individuals with intellectual and
developmental disabilities to lead healthier lives.
We are grateful for you. Your commitment will continue to play an essential
role in delivering our cause. Thank you for helping us create new opportunities
for all.
