You can now book online by visiting www.highcliffecoachholidays.co.uk 

You can check out further details online with drop off points and timings. Pick-up times are available by 

placing your selection in your basket - don't worry there's no commitment to buy! Due to the nature of our 

business all website bookings are provisional until confirmed by us. We ask you for your preferred seating 

allocation during the booking process and will confirm your seat numbers after you have booked. We shall 

try to meet your seating requirements where possible, but cannot guarantee this. 

Don’t worry - you can still book direct with a human being!!

availability. 

2. We shall answer any questions you may have and arrange your 

pick-up point, pick-up time and seating. 

3. Full payment is required by debit card, cash, credit card or

Entrance tickets not included unless stated. All seats are sold on a first come, first served basis. We allocate seats on our excursions which will be 

honoured wherever possible. However, we reserve the right to change your seat should circumstances deem necessary. We will make every effort to carry 

out the programme and itineraries as advertised, but must reserve the right to cancel any excursion or alter routes, timings or stopping places without 

prior notice due to circumstances beyond our control. 

Cancellations & Refunds. If we are forced to cancel any excursion, a full refund will be made. In the event of a customer cancelling we shall apply 

charges in line with the scale below. Tickets cannot be transferred to future trips. 

More than 28 days notice - Full refund, 14 to 28 days notice - Less 25%, 7 to 13 days notice - Less 50%, Less than 7 days notice - No refund.

All bookings must be pre-booked - we cannot pick you up if you are not booked. 

For the vast majority of trips we aim to stay at the destination for around 4½ hours. We may have to alter timings if necessary due to 

operational reasons, but we always aim to give you the best day out. We want you to be happy !!

Monday 1st 

Longleat Safari Park

Set within 900 acres of Capability Brown landscaped grounds lies the magnificent 

Longleat House. The UK's number 1 Safari Park is one of the best loved tourist 

destinations and offers a fantastic day out for all the family. Come along and join us 

as we drive through the Park with views of the famous Longleat Lions, Giraffes, 

Rhinos, Zebras, Gorilla Colony, Cheetah Colony and much more. Longleat House is 

widely regarded as one of the best examples of high Elizabethan architecture in 

Britain and one of the most beautiful stately homes open to the public. Your 

entrance ticket includes every attraction including Adventure Park, Jungle Kingdom,

Sidmouth & The Donkey Sanctuary

Situated on the Jurassic Coast of Devon, Sidmouth has a unique charm and an 

atmosphere of years gone by. Very popular with our customers the town has 

beautiful gardens, leisurely walks and a delightful Esplanade with views along the 

stunning coastline. The regency heritage around the town includes an array of 

friendly independent shops. After time here for lunch we travel the short distance to 

the popular Donkey Sanctuary with time to meet the donkeys, explore the visitor 

centre and enjoy a welcome cup of tea in the Hayloft Restaurant.

Wednesday 3rd 

Dorchester Market & Weymouth 

ROUTE Y 

Lovely day out as we visit our historic county town in the heart of 'Hardy's country 

and boasting elegant 18th century houses, interesting museums, good shopping 

and a great Market on Wednesdays. Afterwards we travel to Weymouth with time in 

this rejuvenated traditional seaside resort. The wide award winning three mile beach 

has beautiful sand and a level promenade with traditional facilities to enjoy. In the 

town there is a great selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Head to the 

harbour lined by Georgian houses, grab some chips and watch the fishing boats. 

Lovely. Good value day out. 


Tuesday 9th 

WestQuay Shopping or Ikea - Southampton 

ROUTE C 

Great value day out to the excellent WestQuay shopping centre in the centre of 

Southampton. Choose from over 100 stores including John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, 

Dorothy Perkins, Gap, Evans, Wallis and Next. On the top level there is a superb 

selection of restaurants to choose from - Nando's, Pizza Express, The Chicago Rib 

Shack, Wagamama and many more... The massive Ikea store is close by if you want 

some inspirational ideas for the home. The new £70 million WestQuay Watermark 

development is open with a new public plaza created and a host of new restaurants, 

bars and leisure facilities available.

Tuesday 9th 

Kensington Palace including Diana: Her Fashion Story ROUTE B 

Kensington Palace is one of central London's royal residences and recently 

underwent a £12million refurbishment. Formerly the home of Princess Diana, it is 

now the official residence to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – Kate and Wills. 

Built in 1605, it has roots in Jacobean architecture and is one of London's most 

exquisite palaces. Inside, there are exhibitions exploring the lives of Kensington's 

inhabitants, whilst outside there are acres of manicured gardens and the world 

famous Orangery. The successful Diana - Her Fashion Story exhibition has now been 

extended. Price includes entrance to Palace and exhibition.

Wednesday 10th 

Cotswolds Villages – Stow & Bourton 

ROUTE A 

The Cotswolds is one of the most beautiful and quintessentially 'English' areas of the 

country and is dotted with delightful towns and villages with the distinctive 

limestone cottages. We tour through the area stopping in Stow-on-the-Wold and the 

delightful town of Bourton-on-the-Water with it's charming low stone bridges over 

the River Windrush which runs through the town. 



Kingston upon Thames OR Richmond upon Thames ROUTE A 

Excellent day out with a choice of destination on the Thames! Kingston upon Thames 

is an historic market town with attractions old and new. Visitors have long favoured 

Kingston for its attractive riverside location, proximity to beautiful Royal parks and its 

excellent shopping. Kingston town centre retains much of its historic past including 

beautiful Tudor buildings, the Ancient Market and All Saints Church. Head down to 

the waterfront to enjoy lunch overlooking the Thames. One of London’s most 

attractive boroughs, Richmond has for hundreds of years been a favourite retreat of 

Royalty, the rich and the famous. With beautiful Royal parks and historic houses, 

theatres, museums and galleries rich with exhibits and a town centre bursting with

Winchester has so much to offer the visitor and has become a firm favourite with our 

customers for a relaxing day out - enjoying the sights, sounds and atmosphere of the 

city. Discover England's ancient Capital and former seat of King Alfred the Great. 

The city is packed with historic buildings and museums including the 11th Century 

Cathedral combined with tranquil green spaces and an array of interesting 

independent shops. Quick to get to and we drop in the centre. No parking charges, 

no hassle!

Cheltenham

Cheltenham is a beautiful spa town located on the edge of the Cotswolds in 

Gloucestershire. One of the finest examples of a Regency town in the country, 

Cheltenham is characterised by it’s houses with intricate ironwork balconies and 

painted stucco facades. Discover some of the finest shopping in the South West on 

the High Street and Regent Arcade. For a different twist - head to the tree lined 

Promenade for a Continental feel or Montpellier for high end shops and lovely

Sherborne Pack Monday Fair 

ROUTE Z 

This street market dates back to medieval times and is held annually in the centre of 

this beautiful old town on the first Monday after 10th October – old Michaelmas Day. 

It’s a highlight on the calender for the town and draws people from all over the 

county and beyond. The main four streets become full of street traders and food 

stalls so come along and enjoy the bustling atmosphere.

GW Designer Shopping Village & Train Museum - Swindon 

ROUTE A 

Housed in the former Great Western Railway Works in the centre of Swindon, the 

McArthurGlen shopping centre has grown to house over 100 leading brand stores 

and restaurants - one of the largest covered designer outlets in Europe. Outlet stores 

sell at bargain prices up to 60% off. Shops include Gap, Marks & Spencer, Fiorelli,

Chichester & Arundel

Steeped in over 2000 years of history, Chichester is a delightful destination. 

Dominated by the 900 year old Cathedral the town has many fine buildings and also 

offers the visitor excellent shopping. Our day out also includes a visit to the 

charming town of Arundel which hugs the River Arun. It's the perfect place to have a 

wander and cup of tea surrounded by lovely countryside. You may choose to spend 

all your time in Chichester. 


Monday 22nd 

City of Wells 

ROUTE Z 

Wells is one of Britain's secret gems and a fabulous destination for a day out; proof 

that the country still has much to admire! Sheltered beneath the southern slopes of 

the Mendip Hills, it combines a wealth of historic interest and beautiful architecture. 

Wells qualifies as England's smallest, and Somerset's only city because of its 

amazing 12th century Cathedral. The wells, which gave the city its name, are located 

within the grounds of the Bishop's Palace, which is still the residence of the Bishop 

of Bath and Wells. Also of interest are Vicars' Close, claimed to be the oldest 

complete medieval street in Europe, and the historic market place. 


Tuesday 23rd 

Oxford – City of Dreaming Spires 

ROUTE A 

Oxford, the 'city of dreaming spires' is steeped in a rich and fascinating history. 

Famous for its prestigious Oxford University, the city is very pedestrian friendly; a 

bustling cosmopolitan place with a lovely riverside setting and a lively mix of 

restaurants, bars and superb shopping. The Radcliffe Camera, Bodleian Library and 

Bridge of Sighs make up just a few of the famous picturesque buildings of Oxford. Its 

charming scenery has been the inspiration for many, including Lewis Carroll and 

J.R.R Tolkien. There are also many recognisable scenes from popular films such as 

Harry Potter and TV series like Inspector Morse. Come along for a great day out. 



Clark's Village

One of our most popular shopping destinations. Located in the town of Street in 

South-East Somerset, Clark's is established as one of the country's premier shopping

One of our most popular destinations - great for a day out by the sea. Brighton has a 

unique charm with elegant grand Regency architecture, wide boulevard-style streets 

and a long sweeping seafront promenade. A cultural melting-pot, the town has 

vibrant museums, galleries, fabulous shopping and a huge choice of eating places. 

Whether you want to visit the magnificent Royal Pavilion, spend time on the iconic 

Palace Pier or stroll along The Lanes, Brighton has much to offer.

City of Bath

Bath is brimming (sorry!) with things to see and do. Designated by UNESCO as a 

World Heritage Site, Bath presents some of the finest architectural sights in Europe 

such as the Royal Crescent, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge alongside a diverse 

collection of museums and attractions including the Roman Baths, Royal Crescent 

and Thermae Bath Spa. Bath's compact city centre enjoys a wonderful atmosphere 

and offers irresistible shopping for that unique gift. 


Thursday 25th 

Milestones Living History Museum 

ROUTE B 

This superb open-air style museum is housed in a massive modern building in 

Basingstoke City Centre. Step back in time for a glimpse of life from Victorian Times 

to the 1930's. Costumed characters and authentic displays offer a realistic portrayal 

of ordinary peoples lives through the ages with a network of streets, shops, village 

green and even a pub! Followed by free time at Festival Place. Terrific fun. Price

Thursday 25th 

Festival Place Shopping, Basingstoke 

ROUTE B 

Shoppers paradise. Hampshire's regional shopping destination located in the heart 

of Basingstoke. Home to over 165 retailers, 30 restaurants, bars and cafes and 

boasting an impressive fashion line up including Debenhams, GAP, Principles, Oasis, 

Jack Jones, Next, H & M, M&S and much more. This has become a very popular 

destination. Come and have a look. 


Friday 26th 

Devon & Dorset Drive with Roast Carvery 

ROUTE Z 

Lovely day out to enjoy the beautiful scenery of West Dorset and East Devon before 

stopping at the excellent Hare & Hounds Pub near Sidmouth. This traditional country 

pub has wooden beams and log fires with lovely views down to Sidmouth and the 

sea. We have included a delicious carvery with an extensive choice of fresh 

vegetables, gravy and extras. Pudding is available on the day for an additional cost. 

Afterwards we shall head in to Sidmouth with time to stroll along the seafront and 

explore the shops.

Bletchley Park - STATION X

Once Britain's Best Kept Secret, today Bletchley Park, Home of the Codebreakers, is 

a heritage site and vibrant tourist attraction. Visitors can explore and experience the 

top secret world of iconic WW2 Codebreaking Huts and Blocks set within the 

atmospheric Victorian estate nestled in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Discover 

the secret world! A day at Bletchley Park now includes an exciting, complimentary 

new multimedia guide in order to explore the site at your own pace and in your own 

time. Exhibitions include The Life and Works of Alan Turing, the only reconstructed 

Bombe machine and the largest number of Enigma machines on public display in

Sunday 28th 

London - Covent Garden 

ROUTE A 

Join our trip to Covent Garden in central London. At the heart of Covent Garden is 

the market with its quirky craft stalls, boutiques and restaurants. The central piazza 

has a thriving café culture and is buzzing with outlandish street entertainers and fun 

events all day, every day. Two of London's popular attractions - the London Transport 

Museum and The Royal Opera House stand grandly in Covent Garden and there's 

lots more shopping to be done in the surrounding streets. 


Tuesday 30th 

Windsor – SPECIAL PRICE

There is a lovely sense of history in Windsor with the Castle dominating the town 

and many other historical building around the town. Beautifully positioned on the 

river, you may like to take a Boat Trip down the Thames or have your picture taken 

with one of The Guards in Windsor Castle. Windsor also has some stylish fashion 

shops and a huge variety of cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy a long lunch.

Gunwharf Quays & M&S Hedge End Shopping ROUTE B 

Enjoy a great day out as we head to Portsmouth. We drop close to the excellent 

Gunwharf Quays shopping and leisure development and the Historic Dockyard. 

Located on the harbour, GunWharf is site of the impressive Spinnaker Tower and 

over 95 shopping outlets and 30 cafes and restaurants. Shops include Next 

Clearance, Animal, Fred Perry, Barbour, Levis, Karen Millen and many more. On our 

journey home we shall stop for time in the enormous M&S store at Hedge End. Very 

popular day out.

Warner Bros Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter ROUTE C 

Surely a must for any 'Potter' fan! The wonderful special effects and amazing 

creatures have made this iconic series beloved to both young and old – and now, for 

the first time, the doors are open for everyone at the studio where it first began. 

You'll have the chance to go behind-the-scenes and see many things the camera 

never showed. From breathtakingly detailed sets to stunning costumes, props and 

animatronics, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London provides a unique showcase of the 

extraordinary British artistry, technology and talent that went into making the most 

successful film series of all time. Now includes the Hogwart Express and Platform 9

Historic Guildford 

ROUTE A 

This county town in Surrey has a vibrant historic centre retaining its traditional 

cobbled high street and riverside walks along the River Wey. The town has superb 

shopping with three covered shopping centres offering some of the best shopping in 

county. There is also a wide choice of cafes, restaurants and bars. Plenty of history to 

explore around the town or why not take a river boat trip on the River Wey. GREAT 

PLACE TO VISIT FOR A DAY.

RAF London 

ROUTE A 

Following a multi-million pound redevelopment this popular museum has now reopened 

for the visitor. As part of the redevelopment new permanent exhibitions 

including ‘RAF Stories: The First 100 Years, 1918-2018’ plus a new grassed 'airfield'

through the world-famous botanic gardens in a magical after-dark experience.

Memorable day out before Christmas as we first travel to Oxford for a couple of 

hours of free time in the city centre. The historic buildings in the town centre really 

come alive at Christmas - time for something to eat, do some shopping or visit one 

of the excellent museums. Late afternoon we board the coach and head north to 

Blenheim Palace. After a very well received display last year we have booked for 

admission to the Evening Light Trail. Follow the trail through the Formal Gardens 

with a spectacular display of lights and projections. Discover singing Christmas 

Trees, swaying lawns of colour and brightly lit boats on the Great Lake. Warming

Itinerary 

DAY 1: Departing your local pick-up 

point around 8.00/9.00am, we travel 

to Bideford with comfort stops as 

required including a lunch stop. 

We arrive at our hotel mid afternoon 

with time to settle in to your room 

before dinner. 

DAY 2: Enjoy a full English breakfast 

before we board the coach and enjoy 

some time in the centre of Bideford 

to explore the shops and river front. 

We continue to historic Barnstaple 

with a chance to explore the famous 

Pannier Market before returning to 

the hotel. 

DAY 3: Today we have a mystery 

excursion in the local area. Where will 

it be? 

DAY 4: Sadly, after breakfast we leave 

Bideford and head home. We have an 

extended lunch stop at the excellent 

Clark’s Village shopping centre before 

arriving back in the local area around 

3.00pm.

Lovely holiday with a touch of Brend Hotel luxury at the 

Royal & Fortescue Hotel in the centre of Barnstaple. 

Lying on the River Taw, Barnstaple is the largest town in North Devon 

with a history extending back to King Aethelstan. Once a major port, 

Barnstaple is a thriving market town with a partly pedestrianised 

centre, historic buildings, charming streets and alleys and a traditional 

Pannier Market. The dramatic, rugged coastline of the North Devon 

Coast, where the cliffs seem to dive in to the sea is quite stunning and 

on a clear day you can see over to South Wales. The stunning Exmoor 

National Park with its spectacular scenery is also close by with a host of 

other terrific excursion destinations to explore in the region. 

Itinerary 

DAY 1: After being collected from your home around 8.00am, we travel to 

Barnstaple with comforts stops as required and a main stop for lunch before 

arriving mid/late afternoon with time to relax before dinner. 

DAY 2: A day at leisure today. Relax and enjoy the cosy atmosphere of the hotel 

and take advantage of the central location to explore the town on foot. Plenty 

for those interested in history to discover plus some excellent shops and cafes. 

DAY 3: Lovely day out with a National Trust property (£10 discount for 

members). We head to Arlington Court, a delightful house set in extensive 

parkland with lovely gardens including peacocks! Time here to enjoy your 

surroundings including the excellent carriage museum – one of the largest 

collections in the country. Lovely place and entrance included.

DAY 4: Wonderful scenery today. 

Mid-morning, we head north to 

Ilfracombe, a town which has received a 

noticeable boost since the arrival of 

artist, Damian Hirst who lives nearby. 

His giant 20 metre sculpture, Verity, 

has led to several galleries in the town 

and restaurants and cafes around the 

authentic fishing harbour. Time here for 

lunch before heading on to the village 

of Dunster, with its famous Yarn Market. 

Returning to Barnstaple with views of 

Exmoor National Park. 

DAY 5: After breakfast we head home 

with a lunch stop on route. Dropped 

back to your home around 3.00pm.
