often falls by the wayside<br />

for today’s youth, but<br />

Northbrook’s Kelly Kim,<br />

a Maple School graduate<br />

and current Glenbrook<br />

North freshman, is out to<br />

make a change.<br />

As a passionate violinist<br />

from a young age, Kim<br />

recently created Classical<br />

Connections — a program<br />

that unites other young<br />

classical music lovers for<br />

the sake of bringing this<br />

often overlooked genre of<br />

music back into the spotlight.<br />

On Friday, Sept. 7, Kim<br />

hosted her first concert at<br />

Irene Park plays the violin while Teresa Kang plays on<br />

the piano during the performance.<br />
