Budapest: Bustling City Full of Vigor
and History
Enter Budapest, as we draw closer to Istanbul, we were welcomed
with a city that had a completely different flavor altogether. In one
corner, one can see gothic and neo-gothic architecture and on the
other you see the ottoman or Turkish structures.
Budapest is a widely popular city and has tons of attractions, best
tip is to plan out your day as destinations are far apart and there is a
significant amount of traffic in the city.
Day and night, the city was alive with tourists and locals. During
the day, we visited popular spots such as the Buda Castle, Matthias
Church and the Jewish Quarter. At night, we would try out different
restaurants that lined up the city.
After all the walking around and eating we decided to end our last
day in Budapest with a visit to the spa, the Szechenyi Thermal Bath,
which is in the middle of the city. For a few euros, we got to enjoy 17
different pools with different heat levels and treatments. Definitely a
great end to our and one I will never forget!
Chain Bridge
Just magical, this bridge among the many
other bridges that connect Buda and Pest is
such a beautiful structure that we’ve come
here at least three times.
Hungarian Parliament Building
Travel Tip: Ride any of the boats the
traverse the danube river, day and night.
Szechenyi Thermal Bath
For about Php700.00 you can enjoy a day
in this public bath composed of 17 different
pools both indoor and outdoor.
Beef Goulash
Local favorite, no doubt this is where we got
our Beef Caldereta, only difference is they
don’t serve it with rice.
