young people. After considering<br />

work as a youth counselor,<br />

he decided to become a trainer<br />

in the family’s personal training<br />

business. His main focus was<br />

on teens and younger children,<br />

helping them improve their<br />

fitness and nutrition. He was<br />

proud to follow in his father’s<br />

footsteps and was adored by his<br />

clients. With his reassuring and<br />

calm demeanor, Duncan had a<br />

gift for helping people realize<br />

and reach their full potential<br />

through his encouragement and<br />

confidence building skills. Like<br />

all young people, he kept thinking<br />

about his next steps. With<br />

his strong athletic abilities, he<br />

was also looking forward to<br />

exploring a career in commercial<br />

diving and had recently<br />

enrolled in the CDA Technical<br />

Institute commercial diver<br />

program.<br />

Duncan is survived by his<br />

loving parents, Tony and Sharon<br />

Duncan; three siblings, Najerie<br />

Neal (Tevin) of Atlanta,<br />

Georgia, Lauren Gabrielle and<br />

Hunter Alexander; his paternal<br />

grandmother Bonnie Davis<br />

(John) and a host of aunts, uncles,<br />

cousins, and friends.<br />

He was preceded in death by<br />

his maternal grandparents, Katherleen<br />

and Henry Mitchell and<br />

his paternal grandfather, James<br />

Duncan.<br />

Duncan loved his family and<br />

friends and each held a special<br />

place in his heart.<br />

Marion Siekierski,<br />

96, of Glenview, died<br />

Aug. 22.<br />

He was the beloved husband<br />

of Rosemary Siekierski (nee<br />

Becker); loving father of Maryanne<br />

(Eric) Hammel and Susan<br />

(Richard) Wenzel; proud grandfather<br />

of John Hammel, Peter<br />

Hammel and Sophia Wenzel;<br />

and loving uncle to many nieces<br />

and nephews. He was preceded<br />

in death by siblings Walter (Sophie),<br />

Matthew (Cely) and Mary<br />

(Herb) Hergenreder.<br />

He served in the 99th infantry<br />

division in World War II<br />

and also served in the Korean<br />

War.<br />
