work as a youth counselor,
he decided to become a trainer
in the family’s personal training
business. His main focus was
on teens and younger children,
helping them improve their
fitness and nutrition. He was
proud to follow in his father’s
footsteps and was adored by his
clients. With his reassuring and
calm demeanor, Duncan had a
gift for helping people realize
and reach their full potential
through his encouragement and
confidence building skills. Like
all young people, he kept thinking
about his next steps. With
his strong athletic abilities, he
was also looking forward to
exploring a career in commercial
diving and had recently
enrolled in the CDA Technical
Institute commercial diver
program.
Duncan is survived by his
loving parents, Tony and Sharon
Duncan; three siblings, Najerie
Neal (Tevin) of Atlanta,
Georgia, Lauren Gabrielle and
Hunter Alexander; his paternal
grandmother Bonnie Davis
(John) and a host of aunts, uncles,
cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by
his maternal grandparents, Katherleen
and Henry Mitchell and
his paternal grandfather, James
Duncan.
Duncan loved his family and
friends and each held a special
place in his heart.

Hayley, Luke, Karl and Isabelle;

Marion Siekierski,
96, of Glenview, died
Aug. 22.
He was the beloved husband
of Rosemary Siekierski (nee
Becker); loving father of Maryanne
(Eric) Hammel and Susan
(Richard) Wenzel; proud grandfather
of John Hammel, Peter
Hammel and Sophia Wenzel;
and loving uncle to many nieces
and nephews. He was preceded
in death by siblings Walter (Sophie),
Matthew (Cely) and Mary
(Herb) Hergenreder.
He served in the 99th infantry
division in World War II
and also served in the Korean
War.
