Kaplan, which explains
the first civil rights victory
towards same-sex marriage
in the beautiful love story of
Edie and Thea and their 42-

Pints and Pork Challenge

Maureen and Steve
Smolinske will host the third
annual Pints and Pork Challenge.
Craft breweries, including
Arrowhead Ales and
Mokena Brewing Company,
will be showcasing their beer
and pit masters will be cooking
the best barbeque around.
Attendees get to sample the
offerings and then vote on
their favorite. Prizes will be
awarded for best beer, best
pork, and best beer and pork
pairing. Ticket cost is $40 in
advance or $45 at the gate.
