FEIEA Grand Prix
Recognising the best
in Europe
FEIEA’s annual Grand Prix awards
competition is open to anyone involved in
business communications with employees or
organisation members as their main target
audience. Reflecting a sharpening focus
on internal communication, the number
of categories for external communications
has been progressively reduced. The 2009
competition will focus exclusively on internal
communication. This section reports on the
2007 and 2008 competitions.
2007
The FEIEA Grand Prix 2007 attracted 209 entries
from 10 countries. Each award-winning entry
went through a rigorous three-stage judging
process, including an assessment by a pan-
European panel of experienced communications
professionals who met in Brussels in September.
The judging panel was joined for the first time
by representatives from the European Parliament
and the Council of the European Union.
FEIEA President Daniel Ambühl presented
the awards at a glittering gala dinner in the
ballroom of London’s Park Lane Hotel on Friday
9 November. Hosted by the British Association
of Communicators in Business (CiB), the awards
evening combined the FEIEA Grand Prix awards
with CiB’s communication strategy awards
and communicator of the year presentations.
The event was attended by more than 300
communicators from across Europe.
Earlier in the day, during the FEIEA Academy,
delegates had the opportunity to hear winners
from the Grand Prix 2006 talk about their
successful entries.
The combined FEIEA and CiB awards dinner
was held in the magnificent art deco ballroom
of London’s Park Lane Hotel, where winners
celebrated late into the night
