Applicants under the age of 18 (minors) who wish to apply
for a marriage license must submit a completed “consent
and authorization of parent or guardian for the marriage of
a minor” form. The form for applicant’s parent or guardian
who resides in Bexar Country is available in the Bexar Country
Clerk’s Office. The form on the Country Clerk’s website is
utilized when an applicants parent or guardian resides outside
Bexar Country.
6. The Country Clerk may not issue a marriage license if either
applicant indicates that the applicant has been divorced
within the last 30 days, unless: (A) the applicants were divorce
from each other; or (B) the prohibition against remarriage
is waived by the court (section 2.009 Texas Family
Code.)

7. If a marriage ceremony has not been conducted before the
90th day after the date the license marriage was issue, the
marriage license expires. (Section 2.202 Texas Family Code).
Normally, a marriage ceremony may not take place during
the 72-hour period immediately following the issuance of the
marriage license.
