8 + months before<br />
• Choose your wedding dress and his tux or suit. Select and<br />
order your invitations, finalize your guest list and book<br />
your photographer and videographer. Start planning your<br />
honeymoon. Try to have as many vendors booked by this<br />
24 time as possible; especially If you have your heart set on a<br />

certain florist, baker or entertainment vendor.<br />

Organization is the key to a flawless wedding.<br />
Follow this guideline to help you stay on track:<br />
12 + Months Prior:<br />
• He’s popped the question and you’ve said “YES!”. Make your engagement<br />
formal by selecting your date, identifying the style of<br />
your wedding and determining your budget. Start on a preliminary<br />
guest list, choose your event planner and finally, select your<br />
ceremony and reception venue. Once you’ve selected your ceremony<br />
and reception locations, it makes it much easier to hire your<br />
vendors. Identify which vendors you are responsible for booking<br />
if your venue does not provide the service. It is important to hire<br />
your priority vendors such as in demand bands or photographers.<br />
Announce your engagement by hosting an engagement party. This<br />
is a great way to introduce your bridal party and allow both sets of<br />
family and friends to get to know each other.<br />
9 + months before<br />
• Start shopping for your wedding dress and the groom’s<br />
attire. If you haven’t done so yet, select your bridal party and<br />
consider any other roles that need to be filled according to<br />
the traditions you choose to incorporate (i.e. ceremony<br />
readers etc.).<br />
6 months before<br />
• Consider ordering “Save the Dates”, especially if you have<br />
guests who live out of town or if you’re planning on a destination<br />
wedding Prepare for your out of town guests by reserving<br />
a room block for them close to your wedding venue.<br />
Decide and book the music, attend your menu tasting test.<br />
Chose and book transportation for the bride. Set up<br />
wedding registries.<br />
3 months before<br />
• Include hotel and group block information in your invitations.<br />
Send invitations to family and friends and confirm<br />
their attendance. Book your hair and makeup artist. Determine<br />
if you’ll need group services or just for yourself. Select<br />
jewelry and accessories for bride and groom.<br />
