“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not
for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the
inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ”
(Colossians 3:23-24).
See how God trusts in you? He trusts that you will accomplish
his purpose, so he has already set up his reward for you. And
don’t forget that he continues to work with you to fulfill his
aim for your life.
Be Youth with Purpose: strive for God’s glory
So, young people, listen to the Word of God. He has given
you his purpose for your life. He knows who you are. It is he
who has created you in Christ. It is he who has called you,
consecrated you and enabled you to carry out his purpose,
that you may glorify his name. So live a life that is worthy,
and know that you will surely obtain the inheritance that is
your reward.
Examine your own lives to see if you are living according to
the will of God.
There are ways to discover God’s purpose for your life. Read
God’s word to know what he says. Have a chat with your
pastors and consult older and wiser Christians as well. Speak
with them about finding your destiny in Christ. And above all,
pray with faith that God will make clear his purpose for you.
Then act in faith and pursue your destiny in him.
Be Youth with Purpose. Let all you do bring glory to his
precious name.

GRACE METHODIST CHURCH
BUILDING A LOVING AND DISCIPLING CHURCH
John 13:33-35: “My children, I will be with you only a little
longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so
I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. A new
command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you,
so you must love one another. By this everyone will know
that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Before the suffering, the resurrection and the ascension of
Jesus Christ, he knew that he didn’t have much time with
his disciples. So he gave his disciples a new commandment.
This new commandment can be considered the most
important instruction given to the followers of Jesus Christ.
Disciples must display their love for one another, especially
in church. This is an important aspect of a Christian life
because a loving church reflects true discipleship, and the
world will thus see that we are disciples of Jesus.
On 15 July this year, Grace Methodist Church celebrated its
18th anniversary with a Thanksgiving Service. The church
has grown from several dozen people at the beginning to
a church of 200 worshippers from two congregations and
a children's Sunday school. One of the main reasons for
growth is how believers and seekers thirst for and grow in
both the Word of God and in the love that they have for each
other.
At present, the challenges and needs of Grace Methodist
Church are as follow: First, to raise sufficient funds for the
purchase of a church building that costs 3.5 million. To date,
we have paid 2.1 million and the balance of 1.4 million needs
to be paid by the settlement date, which is 1 December.
Second, the urgent need to sell an existing church property,
the proceeds of which can help fund the final payment for
the new church. Third, we still need a pastor for the English
youth ministry. Please pray for the needs of Grace Methodist
Church.
