Dear Readers,
Welcome aboard SpiceJet!
October marks the onset of holidays and
travel, joy and celebration, shopping and social
gatherings. It’s also that time of the year when
your doorbell rings and you find a gift hamper at
your doorstep. A surprise gift from a loved one!
Now that is how closely your favourite
airline aims to get integrated in your life! In
September, SpiceJet launched a dedicated
air cargo service under the brand name
SpiceXpress offering safe, on-time, efficient and
seamless cargo connectivity across India and on
international routes. SpiceJet is the first Indian
airline to offer end-to-end cargo services. Our
first freighter aircraft was unveiled at the Indira
Gandhi International Airport in the presence of
Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant
Sinha; Civil Aviation Secretary, R.N. Choubey;
Airports Authority of India Chairman Guruprasad
Mohapatra; and other dignitaries.
To begin with, our air cargo operations will
cover Delhi, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Hong Kong,
Kabul and Amritsar. There is a huge untapped
market for air cargo services in India and I feel
that a player like SpiceJet - with its low cost
structure - is best suited to address this need.
Indian aviation is growing at an
unprecedented pace and SpiceJet, as always,
is at the forefront to extend air connectivity to
the smaller towns and cities of India which have
hitherto remained unconnected.
October will see SpiceJet launch 42 flights
on international and domestic routes including
multiple new flights connecting unserved markets,
thereby reiterating our commitment to UDAN.
This is a matter of national pride.
This month, SpiceJet became the first and
only Indian airline to connect Sikkim with the rest
of the country and beyond with daily direct flights
connecting Pakyong (Gangtok) with Kolkata and
Guwahati. In the absence of air connectivity to
Sikkim, tourists headed to the state had to fly to
Bagdogra in West Bengal and then travel over 100
km by road to reach Gangtok. Our direct flights to
Pakyong will cut travel time by several hours.
The holy city of Ajmer and Pushkar which
attract millions of pilgrims every year from India
and abroad will finally have air connectivity
with SpiceJet launching flights from Delhi to
Kishangarh. With the addition of our Ahmedabad-
Jaisalmer UDAN flight, SpiceJet is now operating
23 daily flights under the regional connectivity
scheme. We are also the only airline flying to
Shirdi connecting the famous temple town to key
metros of Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
SpiceJet also launched flights on Guwahati-
Patna, Amritsar-Bangkok, Amritsar-Goa,
Hyderabad-Bangkok, Mumbai-Kanpur and
Kolkata-Kanpur routes making it the only airline to
operate on these sectors.
We are not done yet!
At SpiceJet, we are constantly aspiring to

extra mile to ensure that travelling on SpiceJet is a
rewarding experience. With this in mind, we have
launched a brand new frequent flyer program –
SpiceClub – which offers a wide range of benefits
to our customers. Every rupee that you spend
to buy a flight ticket or a service with us will
earn you reward points which can be redeemed.
In August, SpiceJet emerged as the country’s
most punctual airline clocking the best on-time
performance amongst all airlines. We registered a
load factor of 93.6 %. This was the 41st month in a
row that we flew with the highest loads in India.
