PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
I hope all our members have had a good summer and are
fully recharged and eager to keep our industry going.
I hope you all enjoy all of the benefits that the AWD and
Welding World has to offer. As with any organisations,
you only get something out of it if you partake with what
our organisation has on offer, so please make sure you are
up to date with all of our options.
It was good to read in our August publication that
JCB are investing in the UK a huge sum of money, for a
state of the art, Cab manufacturing facility to be based
in Uttoxeter. This will bring more jobs and will bring a
massive boost to the area. It will show that Britain is still
ready for business whatever the outcome of Brexit.
We only hear about the amount of high
street shops closing down and the
normal doom and gloom that is
always readily, talked about. We
need more good news like this, to
be advertised.
I know there are confidential
considerations to be considered,
but it would be an idea to talk
about all our success stories and
share some positives, within
our industry.
