Loyola won the Niles West Regional<br />
Oct. 2 after shooting a 294, four strokes<br />
better than runner-up New Trier. Both<br />
teams qualified for the sectional tournament,<br />
which was held Monday (after print<br />
deadline). Loyola’s Jack Crawshaw was the<br />
medalist by shooting a 67. Daniel Tanaka<br />
led New Trier with a 69.<br />
Walther Christian Regional<br />
North Shore Country Day School won<br />
its Oct. 2 regional in a rout, by shooting<br />
a 319. Parker was the runner-up, firing a<br />
354. Eli Sherman won medalist honors<br />
after shooting a 71. The Raiders qualified<br />
for the Oregon (Ill.) Sectional, but like the<br />
sectional above, it was held Monday and<br />
after this paper’s print deadline.<br />

Loyola Regional<br />
New Trier won the Loyola Regional<br />
Oct. 3 by two strokes over the hosts, firing<br />
a 338, to the Ramblers’ 340. Loyola’s<br />
Mary Boesen won medalist honors and<br />
was the only golfer to a record a score<br />
in the 70’s after firing a 75. Both teams<br />
qualified for the Oct. 8 sectional, which<br />
was completed after this paper’s print<br />
deadline.<br />
