UniTown<br />

Thursday, <strong>October</strong> 18, 1 to 6pm, and Friday, <strong>October</strong> 19, 9am<br />

to 5pm<br />

UNITOWN is a weekend retreat for high school students<br />

focusing on leadership skills and diversity topics. Students<br />

who attend will be sharing experiences of their own culture,<br />

gaining a better understanding of other groups, and<br />

preparing themselves for leadership roles in their schools and<br />

community. For high school students from public and private<br />

schools who live in Coral Springs or attend Coral Springs<br />

schools. The cost is $25 and includes T-shirt, dinner, breakfast,<br />

lunch, snacks, and program materials. Unitown will be at Coral<br />

Glades High School, 2700 Sportsplex Drive, Coral Springs.<br />

Parkland Dash 5K/5 Mile<br />

Sunday, <strong>October</strong> 7, 7 to 10am<br />

The 5K/5Mile, and 1 Mile Fun Run is presented by Northwest<br />

Medical Center. The race takes place at Pines Trail Park,<br />

1055 Trails End, Parkland. Check-in is from 6 to 6:30am.<br />

Participants can choose a certified 5K course, 5 Mile course,<br />

or a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Families and strollers welcome. For<br />

Savor the Note Jazz Brunch<br />

Sunday, <strong>October</strong> 21, 11am to 3pm<br />

Enjoy this free event, which includes live music, mimosas,<br />

brunch items, and local vendors. Downtown Coral Springs<br />

at City Hall, 9500 West Sample Road. Free parking will be<br />

available at the City Hall Parking Garage. Lawn chairs and<br />

blankets are encouraged and well-behaved dogs are welcome.<br />

MLK Jr. Golf Tournament<br />

The 13th Annual Golfing for the King will take place at the Deer<br />
