A new initiative to give dogs a warm
welcome in Bury St Edmunds...
DOG FRIENDLY BURY
Shops, eateries, places to stay,
attractions, and other businesses
will be able to display the
#dogfriendlybse paw print logo
sticker in their window and put
out a dog water bowl to show
they are dog friendly.
The initiative, funded by Bury St
Edmunds Town Council, aims to help
visitors and residents easily identify
businesses that are dog friendly in and
around Bury St Edmunds.
‘Dog-Friendly Bury St Edmunds’ was
launched at Really Rather Good, a café
in Abbeygate Street and just one of the
many dog friendly businesses in the
town.
You can find a list of dog friendly places
If you are a business that would like to join, contact the
Town Council Offices on 01284 725111 or email info@
burystedmunds-tc.gov.uk. Follow Dog Friendly Bury
St Edmunds on twitter: twitter.com/Dogfriendlybse
and Instagram: www.instagram.com/dogfriendlybse/
#dogfriendlybse.
in and around Bury St Edmunds who have signed up
to the initiative and who display the Dog Friendly
Bury St Edmunds paw print sticker in their window on
the Bury St Edmunds Town Council website at
www.burystedmunds-tc.gov.uk/home/dogfriendly
On the website you can also find a ‘Dog-Friendly
Charter’ which sets out the responsibilities of both
the business owners and dog owners.
This will include some safety guidance and it is
important to note that business owners still have the
right to refuse entry or ask someone to leave the
premises if a dog is unruly, out of control or
anti-social.
