Hall, Singer Erica Leigh will perform, the <strong>Holliston</strong> Girl<br />
Scouts will host a giving tree, and the <strong>Holliston</strong> LEO’s<br />
group will have a table. Food will be available from <strong>Holliston</strong><br />
Superette, the <strong>Holliston</strong> Lions (chili), and Gaetano’s<br />
Bakery.<br />
As for the jolly old elf, Santa will come down from<br />
the North Pole to make an appearance. The <strong>Holliston</strong><br />
Fire Department, following their open house from 11<br />
a.m. – 2 p.m., where you can climb on fire apparatus<br />
or even meet <strong>Holliston</strong> Police Department’s new canine<br />
officer, will transport St. Nick to the parking lot behind<br />
<strong>Holliston</strong> Public Library (where there will be activities<br />
from 12-4), where, at 3 p.m., Santa will read Twas the<br />
Night Before Christmas.<br />
Don’t forget to stop by the town green and pet a few<br />
alpacas from Harvard Alpaca Ranch, and while you’re<br />
there, buy a wreath from the <strong>Holliston</strong> Cub Scouts or<br />
stop by the <strong>Holliston</strong> Girl Scouts table. .<br />
If you’re hungry, don’t forget to stop by the Candy<br />
Cottage. The <strong>Holliston</strong> Grill, Central Café & Convenience,<br />
Coffee Haven or Table Top Pizza. Other businesses<br />
participating for the day include Janine’s Jewelry,<br />
Outlook Hair Salon, the <strong>Holliston</strong> Superette, Gracefully<br />
Restored, Kamala Boutique, <strong>Holliston</strong> Jewelers, <strong>Holliston</strong><br />

At about 5:30 p.m., you’ll want to join the candlelit<br />
procession heading down Central Street to Blair Square,<br />
where the <strong>Holliston</strong> Boy Scouts will be onhand making<br />
s’mores. A treelighting –which will include lights paid<br />
for by contributions by <strong>Holliston</strong> residents, groups and<br />
business, will take place at 5:45.<br />
As always, there’s something planned for everyone.<br />

Fran Flynn the Magician Returns<br />
to Upper Town Hall<br />
Fran Flynn the magician will<br />
reappear at <strong>Holliston</strong> Upper<br />
Town Hall this year at 1:30 p.m.<br />
on the day of the <strong>Holliston</strong> Annual<br />
Holiday Stroll.<br />
Flynn, who’s been performing<br />
magic since he was 12, loves<br />
what he does, he says, because,<br />
“I truly, truly, love children.<br />
They’re so honest, and I love<br />
to make children happy,” says<br />
the magician, who has two children<br />
and two grandchildren. His<br />
shows are geared toward children<br />
aged 4-10 or a large family<br />
audience. “To me, the best sight<br />
is seeing children laugh and be<br />
happy. They bring me a ton of<br />
joy, they really do.”<br />

Sparky’s Puppets Return!<br />
Sparky’s Puppets will return<br />
to St. Mary’s Church Hall from<br />
1-1:45 p.m. on the day of the<br />
Holiday Stroll to perform “Stories<br />
from Snowy Lands,” sure to<br />
be a hit with all ages.<br />
Sparky’s Puppets have delighted<br />
children and family audiences<br />
throughout New England<br />
for over 30 years. Puppeteer<br />
Sparky Davis has degrees in<br />
English (B. A., Mt. Holyoke College),<br />
education (M. A. T., Brown<br />
University) and library science<br />
(M.L.S., University of RI) and<br />
is a member of Puppeteers of<br />
America and the Boston Guild<br />
of Puppetry. She began doing<br />
puppet shows while working as a<br />
children’s librarian. Since 1980,<br />
she has been performing fulltime<br />
in schools, libraries and festivals<br />
throughout Rhode Island,<br />
Connecticut and Massachusetts,<br />
including The Boston Children’s<br />
Museum, First Night Providence,<br />
The RISD Museum, the Puppet<br />
Showplace Theater and countless<br />
schools, libraries, and family<br />
