It’s that time of year again, a time for celebration and<br />
festivity. That’s right, Golden Times is marking another<br />
birthday! Seven years ago this month we published our first<br />
magazine not knowing if anyone would pick it up and take<br />
a look, fortunately, many of you did, and here we are at the<br />
end of <strong>2018</strong> with Golden Times looking better than ever!<br />
In addition to the anniversary of our launch, there are a few<br />
other big dates on the calendar during the coming weeks.<br />
Bonfire night, Remembrance Sunday and of course the<br />
midwinter festival that sees the whole country twinkling<br />
with tinsel and lights, Christmas. Whatever your plans are<br />
between now and the end of the year we hope you’ll find<br />
some inspiration and information in this issue to help you<br />
see <strong>2018</strong> off in style.<br />
All of our regular contributors are on great, festive form<br />
for this magazine, and we’ve got a wide range of local<br />
advertisers offering their services. We’ve also got some<br />
great competitions on page 18, so make sure you enter<br />
those! We always enjoy contacting the winners of our<br />
competitions to give them the good news, you never know,<br />
this time it could be you!<br />
