FEATURES
This was taken late last summer, a few weeks prior to the
release of Cuphead. The photographer, Samantha Hurley, is
an old friend of mine, and she’s great. I had seen somewhere
these very cool, very casual black and white photos of Sam
Shepard, so that was the idea I brought to the shoot... and
we landed somewhere else entirely. I also find something innately
humorous about obviously posed, completely impractical
“at work” shots. If anything, I learned that I’m no Sam
Shepard. Incidentally, the two scores I brought to the shoot
are my favourite tune in Cuphead and my least favorite, but I
won’t say which those are.
