Location<br />

The small and manageable community of Gersau lies directly on Lake Lucerne and on the southern slope<br />

of the Rigi, which also makes the apartment attractive for holiday guests.<br />

Shopping facilities<br />

In the idyllic village of Gersau you will look in vain for a shopping mile or a shopping centre. However, the<br />

community has everything you need for your daily life to offer. A Denner branch is about four minutes’ walk<br />

from the apartment. A Volg can be reached in about three minutes on foot or by car. Josef Camenzind’s<br />

bakery is around the corner and can be reached in two minutes on foot.<br />

In the village shops or in the dairy, errands can be made for daily use. You will also find a Cantonal Bank<br />

of Schwyz, a post office and an Agrola petrol station in Gersau. If you are looking for a wider selection,<br />

Brunnen or Schwyz is just a short distance away with various shopping centers and branches of the most<br />

Traffic development<br />

From the bus stop Gersau Schiffstation, which is about two minutes’ walk away, bus lines No. 2 and No. 28<br />

run in the direction of Schwyz - Rotkreuz/ Rotkreuz - Schwyz. The next motorway entrance is in Brunnen<br />

and can be reached from Gersau in about 11 minutes by car. There is a boat service in the direction of<br />

Flüelen and Lucerne and for those who want to cross the lake by car and save 50 km on the water in a<br />

short time, the car ferry Gersau - Beckenried is available between March and October.<br />

Education<br />

The kindergarten, primary school and high school are located 85 meters from the children’s home and can<br />

be reached on foot in a minute. The cantonal school is located in a well seven kilometers away.<br />

Leisure activities<br />

Thanks to its proximity to the lake, the mountains and the surrounding nature, Gersau is a well known tourist<br />

destination. The extensive quay, the shipping business, the beach baths, a tennis court and the countless<br />
