Digital Antenna Products
Lou Lenzi, Audiovox Accessories Corporation, New York, New York
RCA antenna products fit the new designs and technologies of today’s displays, practically disappearing into the
décor. The graphic shows a typical rabbit-ear antenna reception pattern and an actual ANT1500 reception pattern –
good reception in any direction. Some antenna products try to get better picture by amplification alone. This gives
you more and noticeable picture
distortion, Lenzi said. The ANT1500
digital flat antenna receives all digital
and analog TV broadcasts and selfadjusts:
just plug and watch. A supersize
footprint provides superior
reception, and it has an easy-to-hide
flat design. It outperforms traditional
antenna due to a patented omnidirectional
design. It mounts on the
wall, lays flat or sits upright with an
included stand. The ANT1550 has all
the above, plus an ultra-low noise
amplifier to provide clear reception of
HDTV and UHF/VHF signals.
Choosing the green approach to create A+ product
Jennifer Y.-C. Lin, AUO, Hsinchu, Taiwan
Jennifer Lin’s presentation agenda
covered displays that reshape our
new lifestyle; green innovation
bringing more to displays;
optimized panel design reducing
power consumption; utilizing green
materials to reduce consumption;
high performance systems with
green considerations; and AUO’s
solution to “green” the world.
Lin first showed a slide (see
illustration) that demonstrates how
CCFL efficiency is improving
continuously. LED adoption in
notebooks helps mercury reduction.
