“One normal night” is all that Wednesday
asks for when her family is about to meet
her (secret) fiancé and his parents for the
first time. But when you’re an Addams,
that wish is like reaching for the moon—
her Uncle Fester’s obsession. While Gomez
and Morticia wonder where they went
wrong with their darkling daughter, like
any parents, they must gradually come to
terms with all the “what ifs” that life and
love may bring. Accompanied by a chorus
of ghostly ancestors and a 12-piece band,
the cast of lead actors—most of whom were
seniors—threw themselves into these favorite,
comedic characters for their last, happy/
sad Middlesex production together. M
