A Magical Christmas at
Ightham Mote
Ightham Mote opens its doors for
the festive season. Tour the house
which will be dressed for a grand
Victorian Christmas. Find a taste
of Christmas in 1950s America in
the library, an impressive tree in
pride of place in the Great Hall,
and the original kitchen, small
dining room and scullery, all
opening to the public for the first
time. From Saturday 1 to Sunday
2 December, the opening will
be celebrated with a Christmas
market of local produce around
the carriage circle lawn, and
children will also be able to impart
their wishes with a visit to Father
Christmas.
