Madrigals!<br />
The <strong>Haddonfield</strong><br />
Memorial High School<br />
Madrigal Singers invite<br />
residents to enjoy the<br />
music and merriment<br />
of the season at their<br />
annual Dessert Theater.<br />
On Fri Dec 14 and Sat<br />
15, the Madrigal Singers<br />
will perform at the<br />
“Royal Court” at Grace<br />
Church Performance<br />
Hall.<br />
The show will<br />
feature songs and<br />
dances of the season, a<br />
comedy guaranteed to<br />
amuse and entertain,<br />
a wassail toast, the<br />
regal presentation of<br />
the Boar’s Head, and<br />
an elegant coffee and<br />
dessert buffet.<br />
Under the direction<br />
of HMHS choir director<br />
Tyler Mills, the student<br />
singers appear in<br />
Renaissance- inspired<br />
costumes as they<br />
present madrigals<br />
– vocal music that<br />
originated in France and<br />
England.<br />
Since the troupe’s<br />
inaugural season in<br />
1997, the HMHS Madrigal<br />
Singers have performed<br />
at The White House,<br />
Washington National<br />
Cathedral, The Kimmel<br />
Center and Longwood<br />
Gardens.<br />
Come be enthralled by<br />
<strong>Haddonfield</strong>’s hometown<br />
holiday tradition. The<br />
HMHS Madrigal Singers<br />
will host three Dessert<br />
Theater Performances<br />
this season: Fri Dec 14<br />
and 7pm; and Sat Dec 15<br />
at 2 and 7pm. Tickets are<br />
$10 for all performances.<br />
