This month I have been…<br />
1. …a US street photographer<br />
Like JB, I enjoyed those three weeks<br />
crossing five states in early November,<br />
but afterwards I stayed on in Denver<br />
for a short while and I enjoyed a<br />
mini-adventure I call Rino – or<br />
River North in Denver (am I being<br />
dyslexic there?). I got to pretend to<br />
be a photographer (I have a growing<br />
fascination for the subject) and set out<br />
to discover this eclectic and fascinating<br />
neighbourhood in Denver. Along the<br />
way I discovered a little about myself<br />
behind the lens – check out the photo<br />
gallery in the blog section of our<br />
website.<br />
2. …a Portuguese bike mechanic<br />
After we got back I hopped over to our<br />
workshop in Portugal for some Husky<br />
FE350 updates. I tried to fit a new<br />
Hinson clutch first – unfortunately I’d<br />
received the incorrect parts so that was<br />
a big fail. But that’s all sorted now –<br />
with thanks to Robert (USA) and Diego<br />
(EU distributor) for the technical advice<br />
and sorting the correct parts for me.<br />
3. …a Milan fashionista<br />
I also got over to EICMA – some great<br />
new adventure bikes, and I really fell for<br />
some Honda CRF-based enduros made<br />
by the RedMoto guys. Meanwhile, the<br />
future of urban transport revealed itself<br />
– and it’s electric…<br />
4. …a wannabe pro-baja racer!<br />
Coming right up to date, I’ve been<br />
back in Portugal riding and working<br />
with my team-mate for 2019 – our<br />
good friend Pedro Matos – suspension<br />
tuning our FE350 & 350EXC-F.<br />
And putting Alan Stillwell’s latest<br />
suspension settings into practise (I<br />
collected my latest forks from him<br />
personally while we were in Phoenix).<br />
And that’s it for now, for this year<br />
effectively. Looking ahead to 2019<br />
– holy crap, can we really do all that<br />
we’re planning…<br />
