2019 lineup revealed
Dartington has announced its 2019
Summer School & Festival programme,
with Joanna MacGregor as Artistic
Director for her fifth and final year.
Joanna MacGregor’s 2019 programme
sweeps a broad range of musical
collaboration - from early music to
folk, classical and jazz and includes
composers and music she has found
profoundly influential. Her personal
choices include the New York street
musician Moondog paired with Bach’s
Art of Fugue; Beethoven’s magnificent
Choral Fantasy and Piazzolla’s sizzling
tango-études; Benjamin Britten’s Turn
of the Screw with Tom Randle as Peter
Quint, and Saint Nicolas conducted
by Steuart Bedford; John Cage’s iconic
Musicircus, and Stravinsky’s The Rite
of Spring. For further information
‘Sea Change’ Wine
Sea Change’, a new wine range
from 10 International, has just been
launched with a focus on one of the
greatest environmental challenges of
the modern day; plastic pollution in
our oceans. Sea Change aims to raise
awareness while making a practical
difference, both through its use of
environmentally conscious packaging,
and by donating 25 cents (Euro) from
the sale of every bottle to marine
conservation causes, including Sea-
Changers charity. The money raised
from sales of the wine that is donated to
Sea-Changers will feed into their grant
fund which is distributed to UK based
marine conservation projects on a biannual
basis. Sea-Changers awards
the donated money, in accordance
with its funding policy, to a range of
projects engaged in: direct marine clean
up action, education and awarenessraising
about marine conservation
issues, species and habitat protection
and conservation research. The wine
will initially be on sale in good pubs,
bars and restaurants internationally
and in the UK.
