Graduates of Blyth are equipped to pursue post-secondary studies <strong>in</strong> Canada and <strong>in</strong>ternationally. <strong>The</strong> Inception story After several years of explor<strong>in</strong>g and expand<strong>in</strong>g the Alberta Programs of Study, the school applied for accreditation from the M<strong>in</strong>istry of Education, Alberta Canada. In July of 2016, the school was acquired by Blyth Academy headquartered <strong>in</strong> Toronto, Ontario. Blyth Education has been deliver<strong>in</strong>g quality education for over 30 years <strong>in</strong> Canada and abroad. In the session 2016-2017, Blyth received accreditation status from the M<strong>in</strong>istry of Education of Alberta, and <strong>in</strong> <strong>2018</strong>-2019 Blyth was elevated to Tier 3 accreditation. Today BA cont<strong>in</strong>ues to serve its learn<strong>in</strong>g community under the direction of the M<strong>in</strong>istry of Education, <strong>Qatar</strong> <strong>in</strong> addition to operations as an Alberta Accredited <strong>International</strong> School. With a current enrolment of approximately 390 students, Junior K<strong>in</strong>dergarten to Grade 12, the school’s vision is “To create, foster, ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong>, and act as a learn<strong>in</strong>g environment that embraces the curricula, pedagogy, and <strong>in</strong>teractions that develop compassionate, <strong>in</strong>telligent and creative problem solvers for our global future.” <strong>The</strong> facility is now filled with a diverse population with many students from employees of CNAQ and UCQ. However, the student body is becom<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>creas<strong>in</strong>gly more diverse and <strong>in</strong>cludes a small number of local students. <strong>The</strong> school cont<strong>in</strong>ues to grow <strong>in</strong> popularity and functions at capacity. A Ra<strong>in</strong>bow of Offer<strong>in</strong>gs Us<strong>in</strong>g the Alberta Education Program of Studies that is modified and augmented by the programs mandated by the <strong>Qatar</strong>i MoEd., BA offers academic programs to students from Junior K<strong>in</strong>dergarten to Grade 12 to help them have an overall development. <strong>The</strong> complementary timetable addresses local programm<strong>in</strong>g requirements and options, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g: Arabic Language studies, Islamic Studies and <strong>Qatar</strong> History courses coupled with specialized options for CTF (e.g. Academic Literacy, Bus<strong>in</strong>ess Literacy, <strong>The</strong>atre Arts, Nutritional Literacy, and Digital Literacy) <strong>in</strong> the Junior High and a series of bundled CTS Modules for the options <strong>in</strong> the Senior High (e.g., Bus<strong>in</strong>ess Foundations, computer studies, French and many onl<strong>in</strong>e options are offered).
