IPEC (Indian Pro-kart Endurance Championship) – 2018 - “Unchain the
barrier and conquer the World”
There is an excitement to explore new things by challenging yourself to discover your potential.
The story of the winning team of BVRITH who participated in IPEC (Indian Pro-kart Endurance
Championship) was something like that.
We all love riding go-karts, but never thought to ride a self made go-kart .It only became possible with the
strong determination of a group of 25 girls and with the constant effort of a group of mechanical faculty.
IPEC (Indian Pro-kart Endurance Championship) ,a national Level Go-kart Championship was organized
by BVRITN from 13 th to 16 th March’2018 to encourage the people with passion to design, build and raceoff
go-kart vehicles.
The journey was started with the rigorous training by the senior students of BVRITN.25 members were
divided into groups of 5 members in each group. The groups were allotted with different modules of design,
transmission, steering and braking under the leadership of a captain.
They built a prototype before starting the real manufacturing process. Once they had that idea, they started
assembling each part to make a real vehicle. Within two weeks, the kart was ready to ride!!
Finally the day arrived to exhibit their effort. The team from BVRITH was one of the four women-only
teams participated in this competition. There were three rounds: Virtual round, Dynamic round and
Endurance round.
Virtual round: This was the first round where around 31 teams across the country participated and at the
end of this round 23 teams were selected for the second round.
Dynamic round: This round was all about technical inspection of brake, weight, acceleration etc. At the
end of this round 22 teams were qualified for the final round and the team from BVRITH was the only team
out of four women-only teams which qualified for the final round.
Endurance round: This was the last round. In this round the participants had to make some laps within a
stipulated time. Here the test was to check participant’s skill, patience, time management and sportsman
spirit.
At the end of the event we received a special prize which was really unbelievable. Finally,We made it. So,
be passionate with your dream. You can do anything , everything.
