Twenty-seven years ago, DAVE CONGALTON was a ball of<br />
nerves as he settled into his seat and switched on his microphone<br />
for the first time at San Luis Obispo-based KVEC. Over the<br />
course of thousands of interviews, he found his voice—and his<br />
calling—as the host of the local “Hometown Radio Show” daily<br />
broadcast. Never far from his heart, however, is his passion<br />
for writing. And, after many ups and downs, he found success<br />
in Hollywood a few years ago when his screenplay “Author’s<br />
Anonymous” was made into a movie. As he wandered around the<br />
set meeting the famous actors who were busy memorizing the lines<br />
he had written, he described the experience as “catching a dream.”<br />
