If you are looking for a little culture or just some old-fashioned<br />
family entertainment, <strong>Russellville</strong> has it all. Many organizations<br />
host a number of events and festivals throughout the year<br />
to provide residents with something to do without the long drive.<br />
Activities include something for everyone from art exhibits to<br />
concerts to fishing tournaments and the theatre.<br />
The Center for the Arts stands prominently at the front of<br />
<strong>Russellville</strong> High School and has welcomed thousands of visitors<br />
since it’s opening in 2012. The 130,000 square foot facility was a<br />
dream of <strong>Russellville</strong> School District to have a performing arts<br />
center to expand educational and cultural resources for students<br />
and the community. With a 1,875 seat performance space, the<br />
multi-purpose Center is home to district events including band<br />
and choir concerts, theatrical and musical productions, art shows<br />
as well as various other school related programs. The Center is<br />
also ideal for individuals, organizations and performers seeking<br />
a venue for graduation ceremonies, business meetings, music<br />
concerts, dance recitals, workshops and other events.<br />
Blending state-of-the-art technology along with a creative<br />
design, The Center theatre is equipped with superior acoustic<br />
quality, including the best in Yamaha digital sound equipment<br />
and the latest in projection and lighting technology to support a<br />
variety of performers and audiences. In addition, the Center has<br />
a 150 seat Black Box theatre, a technical theatre classroom, multiple<br />
dressing rooms and makeup area, a costume shop, a scene<br />
shop and art gallery.<br />

The River Valley Arts Center sponsors art exhibits, concerts<br />
and plays and other cultural activities. The Arts Center has a gallery<br />
with new exhibits monthly. Admittance is free to the public.<br />
Annual shows include Collegiate Competition open to any college<br />
student in the state, a statewide High School Competition,<br />
