Victory Edition (March/April 2019)

Maybe victory isn’t what we think it is. Maybe it isn’t always winning; always getting first; always “lucking out.” Maybe sometimes victory is a dark color, a friend to the girl weeping in her closet. Maybe it's taking all that pain, all that mess, all that fear, and from it we can breathe new life into ourselves and, someday, when we’re okay again, others. Be inspired with our latest edition of OBO.

MARCH/APRIL 2019 OHBELOVEDONE.COM VICTORY IN THE VALLEY
Don't forget the victories
In order to help myself work through my
time of hardship, I started journaling.
I combined a bit of crafting with my
journaling to make it more fun. I have
stickers, Washi tape, stamps, ink, paint,
ribbon and glitter. When I think of
something I want to write down, I get out
my Bible, journal and crafting supplies.
I spread everything out on the table
and I think about what I am learning or
struggling with.
I gather my thoughts and start my journal
page by selecting a colorful piece of
paper that I cut down to fit the page. As
I glue the page down. I start to think of
other papers I will use and write a few
things down. I open my Bible to find
the answers. I try to find an appropriate
verse that goes along with my project.
If you don’t write the victories you will
forget them. Make a list of answered
prayers and miracles.
These pages mark my struggles and the
verses I went to for encouragement.
Months later, as I look through
the journal, I see what I was going
through, how God brought me through
it. I remember answered prayers and
miracles. I look at pages and pages of
growth and victory. obo
