MACHINE SYSTEMS<br />
ACHINE SYSTEMS is arguably today’s most<br />
powerful technology category, and its power has<br />
Mbeen significantly multiplied by the emergence and<br />
adoption <strong>of</strong> new cloud computing services and the network<br />
effect. As new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence<br />
(AI), Blockchain and Quantum Computers are <strong>amp</strong>ed up at<br />
the center <strong>of</strong> the cloud everyone with an internet connection<br />
and a modicum <strong>of</strong> skill has access to technologies that even a<br />
decade ago were beyond even the most optimistic individuals<br />
wildest dreams. And we are just at the beginning.<br />
Indeed, not a day goes by now when there isn’t news <strong>of</strong> a<br />
significant breakthrough or development, whether that’s news<br />
<strong>of</strong> AI’s building new AI’s, AI’s that can code and design their<br />
own programs, and create their own secret languages, or<br />
new advances that put human skills and capabilities in the<br />
shade, such as their ability to learn new skills without being<br />
specifically trained, as well as their ability to understand and<br />
translate natural language conversations into over a hundred<br />
alternative languages at better than human levels <strong>of</strong> accuracy,<br />
and outperform the world’s best doctors and investors,<br />
create, operate and scale fully autonomous multi-national<br />
organisations, and much more.<br />
Suffice to say, the advances in this sector are too numerous for<br />
these scant pages, and by the time I’d written a book covering<br />
them it’d be out <strong>of</strong> date.<br />
