When and why did you start playing soccer? I started playing soccer when I was 5, I played AYSO and my dad coached us. I started playing because my older brother also played. Do you have any superstitions before, during or after a game? When we warm up, we jog around our half of the field and I always have to jump and touch the crossbar when we pass it. What’s one thing people don’t know about you? I played hockey until last year. What’s one item on your bucket list? I want to bungee jump or sky dive. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? I would want to go anywhere tropical that is out of the country. Fiji sounds really cool. If you had $3 at Walgreens, what would you buy? I would buy a blue Gatorade and Reese’s. What’s the best part about being a New Trier athlete? The best thing about being a New Trier athlete is that you get to be on a team with people who are younger and older than you which is really cool because you make relationships with people you wouldn’t normally hangout with. What’s the best advice you’ve gotten and who’s it from? The most important thing is how you get back up after falling down. My dad has always told me this. What’s been your favorite moment at New Trier? So far at New Trier, my favorite moment was definitely winning the state championship at the United Center for hockey last year. If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why? To be able to go back in time so I could fix my mistakes. Interview by Sports Editor Michael Wojtychiw
