Polinger Family Honored for Vision, Generosity
Gerry Polinger Gerry Polinger with musicians Philippe Quint, Zuill Bailey and Navah
Perlman
This year marked the 40th anniversary of
the Polinger Artists of Excellence Concert
Series. The season was dedicated to Gerry
and Howard z”l Polinger in appreciation of
their vision in creating the series and for
their longstanding support of JCCGW music
programs.
On April 29, Gerry and her family were
honored at a reception preceding the final
concert of the season, which featured pianist
Navah Perlman (Itzhak Perlman’s daughter)
and her fellow musicians, cellist Zuill Bailey
and violinist Philippe Quint.
The Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington is supported by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency dedicated to cultivating
a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive. Funding for the Maryland State Arts Council is also provided by the National Endowment for the Arts,
a federal agency which believes that a great nation deserves great art. The JCCGW is also supported in part by funding from the Montgomery County
Government and the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, the County Executive’s Ball for the Arts, and private sources.
