Caring for Our Community
The JCCGW plays a unique role as the
heart of our community because our
doors are always open to welcome
everyone. We are the place that so many
of you call your “home away from home”
– where you work out at the fitness center,
relax and schmooze with friends over coffee
or lunch, bring your kids to camp, take your
grandchildren to preschool, and enjoy being
part of a warm, welcoming, accessible
community.
As the heart and home of our community,
the JCCGW serves as a vital resource for
individuals and families in our community
who are struggling financially. Each year,
we receive requests for more than
$500,000 in financial aid. With your
support, we are able to provide financial
assistance and support services to
hundreds of children, adults and senior
adults in our community in the form of:
• Scholarships to families in need who
otherwise could not afford to give their
children a Jewish preschool education or
summer day camp experience;
• One-on-one camp counselors for
children and young adults with
special needs so that they can have
a fun and meaningful summer camp
experience in our nationally-recognized
inclusion program;
• Reduced-rate memberships for adults
with disabilities living in group
homes, so that they can enjoy all that the
JCCGW has to offer;
• Support services for senior adults,
including hot kosher meals, continuing
education, health & fitness programs and
social opportunities, helping them to live
independently as long as possible.
Annual Fund donations make it possible for
us to offer more than $500,000 in financial
JUNE 2012
assistance each year to these individuals and
families, so that everyone can participate in
our programs and be part of a community that
feels like home.
With so many individuals and families
counting on our support, please consider
