The male participation is another example of where this sport is going. The mothers of netball were also seen on hand among the large crowd, specifically Gloria Lewis of St. Vincent and founder of United Netball Club, Irene Thomas Jackman of Trinidad and Tobago founder of Sharecropper Netball Club and Jacqui Greaves-Farrell of Trinidad and Tobago founder Senators Netball Club USA. Team Guyana fought hard for the equalizer and may have been successful, but the ejection of midfielder Germaine Scott in the 70th minute presented too much of an uphill battle for Team Guyana. Team Grenada, playing with a man advantage, romped home with late goals from Marcus Julien and Kyle Joseph for a 3-0 advantage. Guyana captain Roger Cambridge blamed a lack of discipline in his team’s play for the loss. Windies success depends on its bowlers Bowling would play a key role if any team is to be successful in the ICC World Twenty20 starting Sept. 18, 2012. The West Indies would be heavily dependent on three bowlers to be economical. Sunil Narine, Fidel Edwards and Samuel Badree will have to bowl 12 of the 20 overs and if they can restrict the runs made by the opposing team, the West Indies batsmen will simply do the rest to make the team a successful. Narine has proven that he is capable of performing at the higher level. Edwards is experienced, very quick at times and he can make things difficult for batsmen to score off his attack in his type of cricket. Badree has just entered the top level but he has shown that he has the correct approach and temperment for this level. He bowls tidily and with intelligence. Windies supporters cannot expect all their bowlers to do well but those who fail with the ball must be prepared to carry their bats to score runs and help the team. Dwayne Bravo, Ravi Ram- Phal and Andre Russell are some of the other bowlers who would to do their four overs each if asked or at least some of it. Bravo has tremendous experience at the IPL and he will have to take the ball at crucial times and make things occur positively for the West Indies. All the West Indies bowlers are expected to perform well but in reality only a few may be outstanding in their four overs. Stopping or avoiding the flow of runs is essential in Twenty20 cricket. It is vital to have a few bowlers who are capable of bowling tight. This squad is exceptional and with the correct decision-making by the captain, the West Indies team should have no problem winning this world competition. Team India carries the greatest challenge but with proper planning the West Indies can upset India. Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni are the batsmen poised to score heavily in this Twenty20 competition for India. The team that plays better wins on any day and preparation is key to gaining success. The West Indies team has a huge task ahead and the players must be consistent throughout the competition.
