We will drive to the mountain top and enjoy the fantastic<br />
view. From there, we circle the big salt lake. The walk is<br />
mostly downhill, although we can’t avoid climbing a few<br />
hills.<br />
After 2½-3 hours of hiking through spectacular landscape<br />
with good chances to spot musk oxen, we will find ourselves<br />
at Garnet Rock. Now is the time to bring out our hammers<br />
and chisels and start our hunt for the semi-precious stones,<br />
garnets. In between the hammering, we’ll take a break to<br />
enjoy our sandwich.<br />
