Building resiliency of the Christian Communities
CNEWA-PMP realizes the immediate threat to the indigenous Christian community in
the Middle East region, most importantly in the Holy Land – the birthplace of Christianity.
CNEWA-PMP gives special attention to pastoral formation and education among Christian
children and youth, that focuses on increasing the connection to the land and sense of
belonging. CNEWA-PMP believes that by investing in the leadership skills among the
youth today, children and youth will have the
skills they need to be strong leaders in their
communities.
Provide assistance to children & youth
CNEWA-PMP believes that children and
youth require a different educational approach
in and outside the classroom. We work to help
cultivate a creative learning environment at
kindergartens and schools as well as local youth
institutions. It is important that children and
youth are provided with the opportunity to
develop essential critical and creative thinking
skills, character and peer relationships at an
early age. Essentially, more work is needed to
enhance research and debate skills, providing
the tools that promote a curiosity and will to read
books and have a wide variety of joint activities
for both boys and girls/ Muslims and Christians
that tackle sensitive gender and religious issues.
