1NICU APP OFFERS PARENTS PEACE OF MIND
FOR PARENTS WITH BABIES IN THE NICU, IT MAY
FEEL LIKE TIME STOPS—BUT IN REALITY, LIFE
DOESN’T. FAMILY OBLIGATIONS, WORK, AND
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES CAN KEEP FAMILIES FROM
STAYING WITH THEIR BABY AROUND THE CLOCK.
For parents with babies in the NICU, it may feel
like time stops—but in reality, life doesn’t. Family
obligations, work, and other responsibilities can keep
families from staying with their baby around the clock.
AngelEye Health offers a family engagement app that
eases their stress. With this innovative technology, a
camera is positioned in the nursery to point toward baby’s
crib. Mom, Dad, and other families members can use a
password to log in through a secure network to see
baby anytime—24 hours a day.
The application is compatible with computers,
tablets, and even smartphones. So if families are
at work, running errands, or even lying awake in the
middle of the night, they can see their baby. There’s
also an optional one-way audio component so families
can talk to their baby.
Not only does the system offer peace of mind, but
it also fosters important bonding for the whole family.
Older siblings can watch their new brother or sister,
even if they’re not yet allowed to hold the baby, and
grandparents unable to go to the hospital can still bond
with their new grandchild.
