••• Huge congrats to CCDA (Cirencester Creative Dance<br />
Academy) Phoenix Blaze, who have qualified for the ECA<br />
European Cheerleading Championships to be held across the<br />
weekend of 6th and 7th July in Germany. Lots of luck!<br />
••• Abbeyfields, the Cirencester residential home for<br />
older people, has been in touch to ask if we can help spread<br />
word of its appeal for more volunteers. The home would love<br />
to hear from anyone who could help out by befriending one<br />
of the residents, working in the house's garden, providing car<br />
driver support or assisting on day trips. To find out more you<br />

818721, or Nikki will be attending Cirencester's National<br />
Volunteers Week event at Ashcroft Hall on 8th June between<br />
10am and noon so you could pop along and see her there.<br />
••• Kelmscott’s Morris Memorial Hall is holding a 50:50<br />
sale on Saturday 18th between 1pm and 5pm. If you are<br />
looking to declutter and sell unwanted items, book a table,<br />
bring along items you wish to sell, including household<br />
items, clothes and toys, and you keep half of the proceeds<br />
with the remaining half being donated to the Memorial Hall.<br />

••• For all the fun of a fete head to the Old Rectory in<br />
Quenington on Saturday 11th from 2pm until 5pm. There<br />
will be duck races, a dog show, swing boats, beer tent,<br />
barbecue and afternoon tea, among other things. Entry is £2<br />
for adults and free for children.<br />
••• A heads up for a tasty-sounding event next<br />
month now. Cirencester Food Festival will take place on<br />
Saturday 29th and Sunday, 30th June from 10am to 6pm in<br />
Cirencester's Market Place and the Abbey Grounds. To find<br />

••• Next month will also see Langford host its first ever<br />
arts festival from Friday 7th to Sunday, 9th June. The festival<br />
will feature the work of 20 amateur and professional artists<br />
on display and for sale in St Matthew’s Church and the<br />
village hall. The village will be a hive of art-inspired activities<br />
including artists sketching and painting, a photography<br />
competition, a blacksmith offering a metalwork experience,<br />
pottery demonstrations and more! Homemade cakes, light<br />
lunches and refreshments will also be served and there will<br />
