The annual walk and run now features B-Tags, a timing device that records each race participant’s net time, and a special registration discount is available for current New Trier Booster Club members. Participants can sign up online, through the mail or in person for the 5K race, formerly known as the Run to Remember. Registration and T-shirt pick-up opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 7:50 a.m. the morning of the run at the Northfield Campus, 7 Happ Road near the stadium. An opening ceremony and raffle will be held at 7:55 a.m. The 5k run begins at 8 a.m., and the 5k walk begins at 8:05 a.m. After the race, runners and walkers will participate in an awards ceremony with refreshments. The name of the 5K race was changed to the Trevian Trot in 2013. “The Trevian Trot continues to donate proceeds from the Fun Run/Walk to scholarship funds and charities in memory of Jan and the three graduates,” Race Director Jennifer Tricoli said. Trevian Trot beneficiaries include the Jan Borja Scholarship Fund, the NorthShore University Neonatal Unit, Misericordia, and the Shea Fitzgerald Wrestling Scholarship. Trevian Trot pre-race day registration is $25 for adults and $20 for students, and race day registration is $30 for adults and $25 for students. For Booster Club members, pre-race day registration is $15 for adults and $10 for students, and race day registration is $20 for adults and $15 for students. The troop has held this fundraiser for more than 30 years to help support the New Trier Township Food Pantry with the proceeds.
