Eric degrechie/22nd Century Media Highland Park City Council City Council approves Red Oak and Windy Hill Lane subdivision Eric Bradach Freelance Reporter A new four-lot subdivision will be coming to the northwest corner of Red Oak and Windy Hill Lane as City Council gave it the go-ahead at its April 8 meeting with some skepticism by council members and contention from the area’s residents. One concern shared by council members was the preservation of a heritage tree, which is in the middle of the subdivision. A consideration to amend the resolution to reduce the subdivision to three lots was shot down and the resolution received a unanimous 7-0 vote. Despite the issue, council members echoed each other, stating that all procedures and protocols have been met, therefore it should be approved.
